About 5 years ago, I pulled off 90 with my then-young daughter to try the SF Snoqualmie. When we got back less than an hour later, there was a warning on the windshield advising that parking was allowed only for attaching tire chains and that vehicles left longer are subject to towing. Best find a side road and park there.

So I was curious if anyone had any experience with the laws on pulling off
a highway, then getting out and hiking down to a river. One area that I
think of is heading out 90 and you can see the SF snoq not to far off the
highway. Just curious if I should expect a ticket or not.

I wouldn't do that, the State patrol will nominally mark your vehicle for tow,
if not ticket you. Its a total pain, but you can't park on the shoulder of an
Interstate Highway.
