flats fishing

Just returned from a week of fishing the flats around Boca Paila near Cancun. Weather couldn't have been better and fishing was great. No clouds and moderate winds the whole week. Early in the week I found a few biting permit, I caught 3, by weeks end I couldn't buy a bite from them though I encountered many. I ended up with 3 grand slams, one pretty nice tarpon, a couple jacks and lots of bonefish. Terry Whitworth
