Ryan,

I have a cabin up at Priest, and go up their often. The lake itself is
kinda hard to fly-fish, as its very deep and the main catch is Lake Trout.
All this you probably know.
Upper Priest however is different. You have a very good chance at good
sized cutts, and Dollys. I've been told both Upper Priest and the main lake
hold largemouth bass and rainbows but good luck finding them.

As far as the little lakes around the area, most hold cutts, rainbows,
and a few goldens in the higher and less pressured lakes. Muskegon (sp) is
a very good cutt lake and is very easy to get to, but its along drive for a
Washington resident to go their if their not already at the lake, so you can
find yourself alone a lot of the time.

Upper Priest River is another good bet. Absolutly breath taking river to
fish, but be aware of Grizzlies. Not too many of them around but, they are
their.

Depending on when you're their Granite Creek, Lion head Creek, and Caribou
Creek are good as well but, they are not open very long and, I can't
remember when that is.

If you want to get into some good large mouth bass fishing go to Chase Lake.
I've had great days on that lake, catch bass and watching the Moose swim and
eat.

Hope this helps. And let me know when your going I might be up their as
well. Be happy to show you some spots or just point them out on your map.

Tight Lines,

Kent Dowd

Subject: Priest Lake?

Looking at planning a trip to Priest Lake this summer. I usually fish
the river below the dam with an assortment of small cutthroat, whitefish
and a few suckers. Curious if someone has some other recommendations.
Open to anything. I have noticed a few small lakes around the area.
Any references would be much appreciated.
