Definitely not a golden Vlad. Perhaps a cutt-bow, though it has the spots of a coastal cuttie. I had the privilege of being in just the right place at the right time a couple of years ago when WDFW dumped a bunch of goldens in a lake off Hwy 2. They are definitely golden in color (almost orange), and have the spot patterns of a west slope; not the all-over spotting that a coastal or rainbow has (like the one in your pics).

Last weekend I went to try my luck to Big Greider Lake, which supposedly holds some golden trout. To my excitement I've got one fish that looked quite different from other trout, it had noticeable yellowish color. I was almost sure that this is golden trout, but looking at the pictures latter and comparing them to some pictures from Internet, I started to doubt. The fish looks like a normal rainbow except the color. Here are pictures of the fish. So, what do you think this is? http://photos18.flickr.com/24188566_8db15d2860_o.jpg http://photos18.flickr.com/24191518_c2569fd45b_o.jpg Thanks, -- Vlad Karpinsky
