This time of year the Teanaway is usually *really* low.  The trout are very small in there – typically 4-6” – 8” is a nice one – and the largest I’ve ever caught there at 13” was a true monster.

Never tried Swauk or the Cle Elum – no info here.

Good luck.

Jim

The Teanaway can be fun for smaller trout but I don't know what the levels are like.  The Yak has dropped and can be fished from the bank around Ellensburg for larger fish.

I have heard that Rattlesnake Creek over there is fun also for a smaller stream-type experience.

Hello all,

I'm going to be spending the weekend over in Ellensburg for some fishing with my father and I was thinking about some of the smaller rivers like the Teanaway, Cle Elum, and Swauk creek. Does anyone have any opinions or experience on these streams at this time of year? Too low?

Thanks,
John
