The only strange thing is I can only send big emails (bigger than 20k?) with
Entourage, but not with Entourage X, Mail, or any other email clients.
It would seem that as you can send large e-mails with Entourage but
not other clients that it's unlikely to be a problem with the base
station.
What Macs and versions of the System software are you running?
Have you tried sending large attachments when dialed in directly (ie
not via the Airport)?
