Hi All! We are running free, 1 hour workshops at the AppleCentre on Saturdays, starting next Saturday (27th April). They run from 9.30 am to 10.30am and will be covering a variety of different subjects.
The first session we will be covering the basics of OS X. The Finder, System Preferences, and the included applications will be demonstrated. After each workshop there will be a Q&A session. Over the next few weeks, we will be conducting workshops on: * Internet Basics * Using iTunes * Making a Movie * iDVD * Appleworks Basics * CD and VCD creation Pop up to the store, before 9.30am to get the best seats! On the games front, there have been a couple of new releases. The first is Civilisation III, the latest in the Civ series from Sid Meier. You have 3 different methods of world domination - Diplomatic Finesse (boring), Cultural Domination (the McDonalds theory) or Military Might (fun!). All new graphics coupled with the legendary Civ gameplay! <http://www.civ3.com> Alien Nations - control one of three different nations as you create your own cities. More than 75 different buildings and professions to utilise. Invite a few mates over and play via a LAN or via TCP/IP! Vampire - an excellent mixture of RPG and horror. Fight against the creatures of the night to make your way to battle the evil Vampire Lord. The game can be played in single player or party mode. Online adventures can also be created. Will run on an iMac DV or higher. In stock next week: Icewind Dale - the latest in the Forgotten Realms RPG series, venture forth against 70 new monsters (150 total) to confront an ancient evil that will destroy the Land! Also offers multiplayer support, with up to 6 players over LAN or the Internet. SystemWorks 2 and FireWall 2 - latest release of the Nortons products. Now OS X compatible!
