Hi Shay and all Thanks for your response. With your two suggestions I'm in favour of the extension conflict. Suspect MSN Messenger which my daughter downloaded, since it causes other nuisance glitches. Thanks muchly and....I do have fun - in a quiet way of course! Regards Sue Oliver
