has an international warranty which is covered anywhere. (Well
anywhere an authorised Apple Repair Centre is). After that, the
Extended Warranty is only for the country it was purchased in. There
was some rumour that maybe it was going to become international, but
nothing ever became of that. (As far as I am aware).
So I don't think it's much help to your friend in Sydney.
