I have a user with a new 17" iMac running 10.2.4 and IE 5.2.2
when he clicks on the toolbar favorites (both "@" and text) 19 times out of 20 instead of going to the link it opens a contextual menu as if he was holding down the control button (but pointer is the standard arrow not the contextual menu) or right mouse clicking on a microsoft mouse (but has apple mouse)

on both my G4 tower and Powerbook running the same OS & IE versions I get the same thing happening about 1 in 20 clicks so it is not an issue for me.

That said with a minor problem like this while 5% failure is acceptable 95% is not.

I have checked & changed settings for keyboard/mouse repeat/double click rates, quit/restarted both IE and the whole computer, unplugged/re-plugged/replaced mouse/keyboard without any effect.

have trashed and re-installed IE - no joy.

Have searched via Google and Microsoft knowledge base for any documented help on this without joy

Any ideas?
