I am wondering if anyone is using or can recommend a Palmtop (I think
my terminology is correct) we need a small device (keyboard/screen)
smaller than a laptop but large enough to type client notes on as the
client is being seen. The person who will be using this has the
ability to type without the need to look at the keyboard (better than
me in other words). The standard little palmtops are a bit small.

The other important requirement is that it will need enough memory to
store the text before I transfer to our main program which is run on
our Macs (Filemaker). So obviously there needs to be a way to transfer
between it and our Mac. I anticipate that I will need to copy and
paste into Filemaker once I get the text transferred to the Mac.

Well, personally I'd go for a Palm, something like JFile or FileMaker Mobile (that auto syncs with FileMaker) and a Palm keyboard. But that doesn't seem to fit your criteria.

If it's just text you need, you could try an AlphaSmart keyboard, although it probably doesn't fit your size, and possibly your screen criteria
