I know the sever version of mac OSX has POP/SMTP server software but
I've just been asked about getting hold of this for the user version
of Mac OS X.
Found the non open source "Post.Office" which looks like it's about
$US500 (though the free version looks promising despite limiting you
to 10 accounts and no lists) < clicks download:) >
Is there a POP/SMTP server program in the FINK packages
Sendmail is installed by default in OS X, you just need to a) turn it
on (<http://www.bombich.com/mactips/sendmail.html>), and b)
understand it (many people have wasted their lives trying to do this).
If you're going to install an SMTP server I'd recommend fink installing postfix
You can always use the fink describe command to tell you what
packages are available, or use FinkCommander.
Have fun,
Shay
