In mid 2001, I had the Power supply blow on my 8500...right in the
middle of a CD project actually...
I had it repaired by....

Cost $110...was back in a few days....v. good service....
At the time I was quoted $350 for a new replacement power supply!!!
The technician I dealt with was called Rouen Arnaud.
I remember him saying that they'd done quite a few of the
8500/8600 power supply repairs...
Hope this helps...by the way the Beige G3 Tower I bought off you is
still going strong...
