Hi all,
I still use a Beige G3 (300 MHz 640 MB RAM) and am able to compete easily (albeit slower!) than speedier machines. I've had this machine for a number of years, put in an extra video card (I regularly use two monitors with NO problems). Even though I'm anxious to upgrade now in order to gain more speed, hardly a day goes by when I'm not grateful for the reliability of my beige baby (which absolutely @[EMAIL PROTECTED] on the two pcs I need to use, which are most reliable as doorstops).

Incidently, I have another identical machine (beige G3) for sale if anyone is interested. Also, a nice powermac 9600/200MP which is 'gathering dust' in my office which is open for offers.
I also need to sell an NEC 21" monitor which has outgrown my desk!
Please email any offers.

Regards

Phil

PS...speaking of Mitsubishis, last year I sold our late model Mitsubishi and bought an early model Volvo within 2 hours........the BEST thing I ever did!

Hi all

I used to be an engine reconditioner and folk would ask me 'what's a
good car to buy'.

I would base my answer to them on the number of times and the
circumstances under which a particular engine model came to me, or
not as the case may be. Subaru comes to mind. I saw one or two in 10
yrs. Unlike self-destructive Mitsubishis.

So can anyone stick their neck out and (on those criteria) tout what
may be a relatively gremlin free G3 model to purchase as a keeper.

I started with a 6100/66 which by most standards was tough.

Lately Im seeing some worrisome signs that some model iMacs are a
worry. Screen probs etc.

I've really only met a handful.

Any tips?

Cheers
Paul
