Hi again Mac'ers... The itunes library on the imac is version 2... I went and purchased ilife which provides v 4 however the install did not upgrade v 2 but simply installed another copy on the hard disk.. so now I have two versions, each with different libraries.
I was told to ensure I had the same versions of the itunes before copying libraries from one machine to another... so now I am wondering what to do next.. Again any advice would be appreciated... Assuming a standard setup, your iTunes folder and your iPhoto Library folder are inside these folders respectively. Just copy them to the respective Music and Pictures folders in your Home folder on the iBook. They will automatically take on the permissions of their enclosing folders, so you should have no problem accessing them once the copying is done.
