Some time ago I panicked when the help viewer security scare came about.
I changed things after reading apple articles to 'patch' the situation
until they came up with the security fix.
After updating with this fix the changes I had made were still disabling
the help viewer and I didnt feel up to going through whatever I had done
as I couldn't really remember what it was anyway.
It wasn't a real drama, but irksome.
I thought I would fix it by maybe reinstalling at some point for some
other reasons that had come along.
None really have of course, but the help viewer was still hobbled.
Last night, being bored and not being able to think of a single
productive thing for the mac to do. I decided to have its permissions
repaired via Disk Utility.
All fixed now and the 'Reasons To Reinstall list-count' is back to zero.
Cheers
Paul
