Yes you are using an old Oxford Bridge. It won't matter what capacity drive you put in this enclosure, you'll only see 128GB.

This is truely bizarre. My 160gb firewire drive is now only reading as 128gb drive. As far as I can see it's using an Oxford chipset. Any ideas?
