Yes Bob, .... I've been 'trying' to explain this to PC users for years ..... but ..... they don't listen to Mac people! Hmmmm, 'Windows Mentality' .... I don't think we will ever change it ... and perhaps we don't really want to ???

Cheers,

When Microsoft asks you, "Where do you want to go today?" Tell them, "Apple!"

I build PCs for clients.

Even when the specs of the PC are WAY up there, these are fast machines and indeed cost accordingly, comparable in price to (IMHO) a Mac of 'similar' capabilities, in fact they will share a good deal of components.

The rub actually comes once Ive finished assembling a well thought out PC, all I can do for the customer is install bloody XP.

They think it is fine/great but I know that it will never realise the potential of the hardware Ive sold them. I feel as though I should sell them a cheaper machine as the result will be almost the same. But where's the kudos in that?;)

Linux is just about ruled out for this situation as no self respecting Linux nerd would get anyone else to design and assemble their shiny new PC.

So it's XP yet again, sigh. At least theres Mozilla for them...
