flash drive problem

Just bought a new 1 gb flash drive. It was already partitioned, with a 
whole lot of (useless) Windows exe files etc. When I copied some files 
to the smaller partition and looked at it a windows computer and an 
ibook only the larger partition showed up.

Anybody got a clue?
