From what I heard, It was the the first wave of iMac G5's that had
issues as Apple had part shortages and grabbed them from anywhere. This
issue was rectified after these models shipped and Apple US had PSU
recalls at Apple Centre's. There is a discussion about it somewhere but
it was regarding models shipping in the first December I think?? Anyway
the more recent ones doesn't have the issue.
