Connecting Powerbook to UPS - any danger?

Hi,

Is there any advantage or danger in me connecting my PB 1.25 15" OS 
10.3.9 to the power using a UPS?

I'm using an ethernet ADSL modem should I incorporate the ethernet 
filter in the UPS?
