We've had 3 different wireless mice:
Belkin (RF)
Microsoft (RF)
Apple (Bluetooth)

I haven't measured it scientifically, but with usually 3 x 2300mAhr or
2500mAhr AA rechargeable batteries they seem to last about a month or more
before needing re-charging. The wireless keyboards with these mice seem to
go for perhaps twice as long (I think?). (As long as you don't leave the
mouse upside down and flashing away) It isn't much of a hassle.

Works well on the coffee table in the lounge controlling the TV iMac.

Otherwise I tend to prefer wired mice on a workstation I sit directly in
front of. When I need a wireless control for presentations with my laptop,
I use Salling Clicker on my Bluetooth SE P900 phone.
