Clicking and no actin on HDD

I have an IBM travelstar 2.5 inch 20gig HDD from our laptop and it is  
non-operational/ It is not the disk that is clicking it seems more  
like the board. Does anybody have experience with these and does  
anyone have a dead drive I can take the drive board off to try on  
ours. There are a load of photographs and other information I would  
love to retrieve.
