Hi Rod,
It is a brand new DVD-Rom (PC Version) - not a scratch or dirty in
anyway.
It's not mounting on the desktop (though it mounts on my DVD
recorder-player, but not playable).
You might be right about it being from US (Region 1 stuff) that is
generating all this problem.
If you like to know it's a software on Golf Swing Analysis.
I don't know what more I can tell you, and I've already troubled you a
lot.
Thanks & Regards
Paul

Is there a way of converting a DVD-Rom from its PC Version to Mac

This might sound silly, but is it actually? A movie? A pc software
title?
If its not mounting, also check the surface of the DVD. It maybe
scratched or dirty to the point that the laser in your dvd drive can't
pick up the tracks any longer. Or, the DVD could possibly be burnt
in some foreign format to the Mac, so it won't mount.
