Hi, Frank,

I took the sick monitor up to the Joondalup Apple store. Mike and his crew diagnosed the problem as a failed inverter and replaced it for a very modest price. So, I am back in business.

Thanks very much to Bob, Frank, and Mike and the guys,

     Pat Scott

Hi Pat
The apple website has a adc to dvi adapter for $48. The benQ monitors (FP71G+) we have been buying have dvi input as well as VGA. These monitors
are about $350
Ask the people at joondalup if this will work.

This is the link to the apple page

Help! The power button on my 17" Apple monitor has suddenly
started blinking in a regular pattern - like a Morse code 'u' - dot

Using G4 tower, dual 1.42 Gh, OSX 10.4.6.

Does this indicate that the monitor is about to fail? Is there
anything I can do about it except let it happen?
