Too right Ronni. They have what looks like a matt white painted surface
that soaks up the ink.
I have seen some yellow/gold ones that you can apparently stick upside
down in your drive and through using the provided software laser etch
your images onto the surface. Never seen them in action though.
My mates at the ABC recommended the printable cds for archival use.
Their investigations showed that it seems to be the only labeling
method that will not eventually rot/eat through to the recording
surface. Not sure if they tried the laser etching.
