Umm .... As a fairly new person to updating: in view of this issue
would it be better to hold off the update until getting to the
bottom of this? I'm sorry Michael but I don't want to be a Guinea

quite regularly here.

If it's any reassurance my iTunes upgrade performed perfectly, and
I was also somewhat trepidatious after reading all the horror
stories at MacFixit adn other sites (although the same stories
always seem to appear following an iTunes upgrade). My main
concerns were around what changes they might have made to the iPod
syncing, mainly because of the muddy and ambiguous descriptions at
Apple's site and elsewhere. I needn't have worried. iTunes upgraded
fine and everything is as before with all the iPod settings.
I do find some of the interface changes Apple have made to be
somewhat puzzling, and ITMS downloads now take a lot longer to
finish of, but those are other issues...
