Thanks Stephen & Severin,

Well, at last I am able to access HTTPS secure web sites again using Safari. I did everything, (& I mean everything),except re-installing Safari (that was going to be my next step)!

I logged into another Admin. Account I have on my PowerBook purely for Troubleshooting purposes. Found that Safari accessed the secure sites with no problems, so I then had to find out what was different
with that account to mine?
Eventually I started to think 'Keychain'.......
Opened Keychain Access > Preferences : 'Certificates'. In the account that I can access HTTPS sites I noticed that
Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP): is OFF
Certificate Revocation List (CRL): is OFF
Priority: OCSP

In my Account that is not able to access secure sites I had 'Require if Cert Indicates' in both OCSP & CRL,
and Priority: OCSP

I know that I was able to access these secure sites before with the 'Require if Cert Indicates',
why I can't now .... I have no idea.

So is it safe to have OCSP & CRL 'OFF'?

Cheers,
Ronni

Hi WAMUGers,

Anyone else experiencing, since downloading & installing the new 'Security Update 2006-007' that Safari v2.0.4 in OSX10.4.8 cannot access HTTPS secure web sites?

Firefox is able to and Mail is working fine.

I've Reset Safari, cleared caches, restarted etc all to no avail.

Cheers,
Ronni
