Hi Adam and WAMUG folks.

Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be an easy answer for this one (unless someone as a knowledge of a hidden preference, entered from Terminal).

One simple solution might be to opt for your signature to be "none" by default, and then just turn it on (on the RHS in the Message window when composing) if your signature is needed. (Saves setting it to "None" in the message window, every time you reply).

Alternately, compose a shorter signature... Set the short one as your "default", and your "long" one that you can choose for "first encounters".

Hope that helps,

Cheers,
Derek

X-Mailer: Apple Mail (2.752.3)

Hi All,

Is there any way to configure Mail such that it only attaches the
signature if I am composing a new email? It seems stupid to attach a
signature when I am responding to an email, let alone when I am
conversing back and forth...I end up with a bunch of signatures
inside the same email thread.

I have searched all through the config and I can not find what I am
looking for.

Cheers,

Adam
