cameras not recognized

Morning.

On our new iMac, digital cameras  (Nikon D70 and Canon A400) don't 
appear in iPhoto or in Image Capture.

Up until a few days ago they worked fine. Any ideas for me on this one.

They both work fine on our eMac.
