When I do backups on my external CD recorder from my OS9 iMac I sometimes get messages like "Sense key - medium error" and "Sense Code + 0x73, 0x3" or "Sense Code 0x72, 0x01" Then usually the message that the burn failed. I'm wondering if this is due to the disk? I've been using Imation CDRs. Some worked okay today, but I also wasted another run of half a dozen from the same batch. I then tried an old Kodak Gold CDR I've been saving aside
for years there was no problem completing the burn.

I guess the question is, are silver Imation disks sometimes prone to
throwing up these faults?

Kind regards, Paul.
