Hi Severin,

Apparently the .webloc extension is a mac generated URL, see:

<http://www.fileinfo.net/extension/webloc>

So some possibilites that come to mind are:

1) She is sending you the url to an online file - in which case a browser
should take you there.

2) She is sending you the pdf but somehow the webloc extension has got added
- try just removing the .webloc extension and opening with acrobat reader or
preview (you've probably tried this already!)

3) She has actually sent you, in effect, an alias to a file on her computer
- maybe she was viewing a pdf with a web browser and just dragged the page
into the email attachment box.

4) None of the above!

You probably need to check with her just how she is attaching the file to
the message and that it is an actual pdf file not a link or alias.

One other thing - with some pdfs I find that Acrobat reader will open them
when Preview will not.

HTH

Cheers

Neil
