1. In the drop down menu you see when you use 'Save As PDF' in the Print Dialog Box, look for a filter to "reduce file size", which will save the PDF at a lower resolution and do what it says it will do - reduce the file size.

2. The other option is something you can use on the PDF's you have already saved. Right-click (Control-click) on the files icon, and select 'open with -> colorsync utility'. Down the bottom of this window you will see a drop down menu for 'filters', select 'reduce file size' and then 'apply'. You can then clos the window, and select 'save' from the dialog box that pops up.
