It is indeed very simple Laura. The sticks should come with
illustrated instructions. There are also a number of instructional
videos on Utube. The only tool needed is a small philips screwdriver,
oh, and a coin!
This URL leads to a good instructional video.

I am wanting to upgrade the memory on my MacBook 10.4.11, currently
512MB. I am advised by Applecare that I can purchase 2 sticks =1GB
($150) and that installation is very simple. I feel a bit
apprehensive about that idea. Could someone please confirm that it
is indeed a simple task.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Many thanks.
