Hi there

I have a 1.8 GHz PowerPC G5 at work and at home running OS 10.5.5

I am having problems with permissions. Can;t find anything on the WAMUG web site.

What happens when I boot fro the OS 10 install disk is that I can't "Verify or Repair Disk Permissions" and not "Repair Disk". I get the message 'The desk 'macintosh HD" could not be unmounted'

Suggestions?

From the Disk utility in Utilities in your Applications folder

No you cannot Repair Disk

but YES you can repair permissions

try that

Bob
