Hi Rosemary

If you want to turn off the Netcomm wireless part you can do it via the
following:-

Which I got from downloading their pdf manual, and it was on Page 81
<http://www.netcomm.com.au/__data/assets/file/0004/32989/NB5Plus4W_UG.pdf?SQ
_DESIGN_NAME=support&SQ_PAINT_LAYOUT_NAME=faq>

If you log in to the modem, using it's default setting which is 192.168.1.1
in a web browser. The "normal" log in is Username - admin Password - admin
Once logged in on the main screen if you click on the "Wireless" tab then go
to "wireless setup" there is a tick box at the top of that screen that says
"Enable AP". If you untick this, it will disable the Netcomm Wireless
connection.

Also, from that same manual if you look at Page 74 it shows you how to see
how many clients are connected to the modem.
This is under the "Tools" tab, then under "DHCP Clients".
This should give you an idea how many clients are connected.

(Assuming the above you've got either the ADSL modem or the Airport unit
configured to Bridge mode, otherwise the DNS settings will be different and
one network may be 10.1.1.x and the other 192.168.1.x).

The third thing that you can do is log into your Westnet account and they
should have a usage meter of some sort. It can vary from ISP to ISP, but
some can let you narrow down to the hour how much data is being used.
(I can view each day and per hour on iinet's toolbox, so am hoping the
Westnet one may be the same).
That may give you an idea as to what day or times there was a lot of usage
which can help point you in the right direction what it was.

Sometimes it doesn't take much to use a lot, especially with large updates
(the Mac OSX 10.5.8 Combo Update alone is about 750MB). If you listen to
online radio from websites or iTunes, this chews through data. These are
just a couple but there is plenty more....

Hope something in there helps.

Kind Regards
Daniel
