Hi Ronni, Craig and Daniel.

Thanks for your information so far. I have found out more!

His iMac is a G5 PC OS 10.3.9.
His wife's is an Intel R Celeron R CPU 2,4 GHz.

He does NOT have a wireless card built in. Nor does her Windows computer. It
could be done for about $280 for both. But that is too much.
Wireless is out.

She has an old Siemens SpeedStream 4200 DSL Modem which only has ONE
Ethernet slot which is used for her computer. So an Ethernet cable
connection is out .

He (upstairs) has a phone extension, obviously the same line that BigPond
uses for the Broadband connection.

So.. He could by a modem (happy to do that) and connect his phone extension
line to it and to his iMac.

BUT .. If he did that will he be able to connect and share her BigPond
account? Can two different modems share the one account?

Or am I totally wrong?

If all else fails, is there a recommended technician in the Pinjarra area
who could help them?

Lloyd
