Hi Nathalie,

Theoretically the iPhone will work in both US and Australia. He'll be best
getting an iPhone 3Gs. As long as he gets an unlocked phone then he can get
a SIM from any telecommunications company. He will have to work out the
choices in the US based on the locations he visits. Of course in Oz it comes
down to the best package (Virgin or Vodafone imho) or best coverage but more
costly (those other guys).
