why don't you just hit Print, then on the Print dialogue click the PDF
button bottom left, and "save as PDF"

Yep, tried the 'print backgrounds' option Ronni, but no change. So
must be the CSS coding. That rings true because the same problem
occurs in Firefox I've just realised.

When saving a web page in Safari to pdf, why is it that the
resulting pdf does not reflect what you see on the web page? For
example, for one particular web page I'm trying to save to pdf,
there are a series of menu tabs across the top of the web page,
but these are converted to a bulleted list when printing to pdf ??
I've got round the problem for now by using Paparazzi! to grab the
entire web page as a screen shot, but this is a long winded process.
Hello Steven,
After you do File > Print are you then choosing Safari from the pop-
up menu below the Orientation section, and selecting the “Print
backgrounds” checkbox.
To include the web address and date, choose Safari from the pop-up
menu below the Orientation section, and then select the “Print
headers and footers” checkbox.
If you still don't see in the PDF what you were expecting you will
find the problem is the CSS coding for the website is either set
differently for printing or doesn't specify a print mode and
therefore doesn't display any of the special formatting.
It's an issue with the site, not with Leopard or Snow Leopard.
Cheers,
Ronni
