Hi Jon,

In order, I would try:
  1. Quit the Finder with File- Quit.
  2. restart
  3. check that you have 10% disk space free on your system drive

Uh oh, I think something is amiss!

All open windows on the desktop have the max/min buttons grey'd out. Apps with other windows like Mail work fine, so it looks like it may be a Finder problem. Trying to select anything
on the desktop takes forever and as I am typing this, these desktop actions are going off minutes later.

Grey'd out windows in background all move around the screen (at the right speed it seems) but cannot access anything. Dock is okay, Safari opens okay and browser works no problem.

Mac OS X 10.5.6/2 x 2.66 dual core/2GbRAM.

Any thoughts on this please?

Thanks
Jon
