Hi Marlene, No way legally to do this. Apple Support page states you can only change the DVD region five times and then you are stuck with your last choice. And that's it. <http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=DVDPlayer/5.2/en/26880.html> "Important:You can set the region code for your DVD drive only five times (including the original setting). The fifth time you change the code, it will be permanently set." There are ways of "Flashing the Firmware"to RPC-1, (region free), but I would NEVER give instructions or recommend anyone doing this. If she only uses Region 0 DVDs (which have no region code), she is fine. An alternate "sometimes", can be a video player like VLC that doesn't check the region code. BUT, Beware that your drive's firmware still triggers the OS counter, which may then trigger a firmware setting change on your drive. Its hit and miss on whether or not this will happen, with some Macs allowing any region movie to be viewed in VLC without triggering a change, and others triggering a change and potentially locking you out of future switches when you hit the limit.
