Hi David
We bought an Epsom V500 last year from H.N. for about $450 and it does
an excellent job on slides and old colour and b/w photos (we haven't
tried negatives yet) and it comes with a host of different sized
holders. The ICE software that comes with it does a really good job
of cleaning up scratches, dust marks and colour blemishes.
It is quite slow if you use the highest definition scanning

Hi David,
My brother purchased an Epson V350 that I have been using.
It scans 35mm filmstrips, and also does a great job with colour and
B/W
It is great and very quick. I think he bought it from a computer
shop at
www.myshopping.com.au
I think it was around the $200 or so mark
Kind regards
Nichole

Hi All,
Some time ago... 2008 I think... I enquired with the list about
scanners to use for old colour and black and white photos. Ronni
came back and recommended the Epson Stylus Photo TX700W MFP
Wireless Printer. I am now in the market to buy and wondered
whether in the time that has lapsed there are any other
recommendations? I have done the usual trawling of review sites
and it seems that there is no one standout unit. Would appreciate
anyone's input.
Thanks,
David
