Hi Severin,

Not all applications can be launched hidden. The checkbox is intended mainly 
for faceless background utilities that can be launched and run in the 
background. iTunes is simply not such an application. The iTunesHelper can be 
hidden.

Normally installers that create a login item or programs that have the option 
preference of adding to the login items list will set the hidden flag if it's 
appropriate.
