Hi Stuart, 

can you be more specific as to which functions on your extended keyboard aren't 
working?

I ask this because some are software specific and others are OS dependent.

Also is it an Apple extended keyboard or a third party one? 

If it is an Apple one then you definitely don't need any extra software. If it 
is a third party one you probably don't need extra software unless it is a 
special keyboard that has functions like multimedia inputs etc.
