Hi gang, keen for any tips if anyone has one. Total of 3 Macbooks in the house, 2006, 2008, 2009 issue One by one the optical drives have died, first they become intermittent/quirky, then they fail totally. About... reports no media drive connected. Just on the off chance can this happen from a soft glitch? Or is it a case of new optical drives (or even new laptops)? I have two deceased ibook G4s - would their combo drives be usable in said macbooks? :( D
