Hi Gerald,

Oh yes, if the cartridge has the incorrect chip, the chip refuses to register, 
nothing short of exchanging the cartridge will solve your problem.

I’ve always purchased Epson Brand Cartridges for my Epson printers. 
Daniel Kerr (Macwizardry) supplies all my cartridges at a very reasonable price.

Help keep the local suppliers going is my motto.
