Maureen,

If you are making use of the Vivid Home Gateway - you can simply plug a Time 
Capsule / airport express into the vivid gateway using ethernet.  Then setup 
the time capsule / airport express in "bridge mode" for an internet connection, 
and then you'll be good to go.


You'd be best to then connect your mac to the WiFi on the Time Capsule, rather 
than the Vivid gateway - as it is faster.  But technically it would work from 
both.
