Hi Adrian, These three applications will find duplicate photos in iPhoto. The first two give more options for comparing duplicate photos.
PhotoSweeper: <http://overmacs.com/photosweeper/> The most expensive app also does the most. PhotoSweeper not only de-clutters and de-dupes your photos in iPhoto, it does the same for Aperture and Lightroom. It also offers the most options for comparing photos. Duplicate Annihilator for iPhoto: <http://www.brattoo.com/propaganda/index.php?action=software> Less expensive is Duplicate Annihilator for iPhoto. It, too, has multiple comparison options. With one click Duplicate Annihilator finds duplicates in iPhoto, marks them as duplicates, you can examine, and then trash with a drag and drop. Duplifinder: <http://www.haystacksoftware.com/duplifinder/> The least expensive option also has the fewest features. Duplifinder searches for duplicates in iPhoto; both photos and videos. It gives you a pop up window which displays originals and duplicates. A simple double-click of a photo opens it so you can get a close up view before deleting. Duplifinder is the simplest to use, but doesn’t have as many comparison options as PhotoSweeper or Duplicate Annihilator. My preference is still Duplicate Annihilator for iPhoto duplicates, I've used it for years and find it does what I need it to do.
