I have a leakage of iTunes artwork from Books to Music. Problem predates iTunes 11.
iTunes (and hence Apple TV) shows two unrelated songs with a PDF Book cover as their "album art". (Just as well the PDF file has a cover!) The songs are thus listed as being part of the same album. "Get Info" on both songs shows completely blank tag entries for Album, Artist and Art, and appear to be no different to a number of other orphan mp3 tracks I have. How can I remove this linkage to an iBook pdf? Apple Communities Forum suggest others have problems with PDF covers attaching to songs (and with cover art within Books itself) but with no suggestion of the cause or a fix. I can edit the song tags individually or as a group but cannot break the invisible Album link. I inserted an arbitrary album name and my own art work. This replaced the PDF cover. I then deleted the test Album name and art. The two songs reappeared as an album - but with a different Book PDF file as its cover art. I then copied the mp3 tracks to desktop, deleted and trashed the songs from iTunes, quit iTunes, and added the songs back to iTunes library. The two songs re-appeared as an album with the Book PDF file as its cover art. (Sigh.) The PDF files were properly imported into iTunes for syncing to my iPad and have "book" set as media kind. Importing of PDF files to Books has been done within the last 2 months. Its not a disaster, but is frustrating that I can't fix these strange linkings (songs linked as an album, and PDF Books as cover art). Any suggestions please?
