Hi replying (partially) to my own post ;o) It seems I was premature in my assumption: > Ideally I would use my iPad as a mobile broadband hotspot but, if I > understand it correctly, I can only do this with the iphone not the iPad? Based on looking for the same hotspot menu on the iPad as on the iphone.
I have now found this: <https://help.telstra.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/21471> Which says I can, in fact, use the ipad as a mobile hotspot with telstra mobile broadband - which sounds like my best option and makes me happy that I got the +cellular version rather than just the wifi and having the extra $140 to offset against a mobile hotspot ;o) Anybody using their iPad as a mobile hotspot - how is that working for you. One of the problems I noticed with using the iPhone as a hotspot was that it kept disconnecting the computer - it was relatively easy to wake up the phone when I noticed this and reconnect - but it was a nuisance. Is this likely to be the same with the iPad? Is it just a matter of finding a setting to change? Cheers Neil -- Neil R.
